Dr. Hertler is a senior advisor and the chief medical officer emeritus of Evolent, a leading specialty and primary care enablement company. He is responsible for the advancement of the company’s clinical quality initiatives, value-based strategies, and utilization management pathways and policies. A board-certified oncologist with 29 years of experience in clinical practice, he is a nationally recognized leader in the management of oncology practices. Dr. Hertler is a past member of several American Society of Clinical Oncology committees, including the Clinical Practice, Quality of Care, and Payment Reform committees.
