Natalie Ferguson, PhD

Natalie Ferguson, PhD, DNP, MSN, FNP, MSA, APRN, is the assistant director of nursing and a community outreach advocate, educator, and support liaison in the Department of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology Cancer Care Services, at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and the chief executive officer and founder of the Ferguson Wellness Institute Inc., a nonprofit organization that cares for all individuals’ minds, bodies, and spirits. Her keen interest in community outreach as it relates to patient care includes developing and implementing cancer prevention education and wellness programs in the hospital, school, and community settings. She is also focused on other physical and psychological health issues affecting the individual patient. Dr. Ferguson holds DNP and MSN-FNP degrees from the SUNY Downstate College of Nursing, with awards in nursing leadership, as well as an MSA degree from Central Michigan University. She is a parent to a child with autism.
