Anxiety May Worsen COPD Symptoms and Exacerbations in Older Adults
Anxiety in older patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) may worsen COPD symptoms and increase the frequency of acute exacerbations, according to a study published in Frontiers in Medicine. Anxiety is common in patients with COPD, especially in patients over 60 years old. However, only a few studies have focused on anxiety in older COPD patients.
