Vaginal Versus Cesarean Delivery for Pregnant Women With Inactive Perianal Crohn Disease: Population-Based Study
Major guidelines recommend cesarean delivery for pregnant women with active perianal Crohn disease (CD). But for pregnant women with inactive perianal CD and a history of perianal surgery, the optimal delivery option remains unclear. Researchers examined adverse maternal outcomes of cesarean versus vaginal delivery among women with perianal CD and prior perianal surgery using Danish national registries for data on singleton live births in this cohort from 1997 to 2022.
